Camping in Joshua tree

Thanksgiving in Joshua tree

Well, we got our couch-surfer from New-Zeland with us. We drove all the way at 10 freeway East from Los Angeles toward palms Spring.
The drive is not bad from Los Angeles thought the kids always asked us are we there yet. It took 2 1/2 hour from West Los Angeles.
We camped in Black Rock site. At the campsite we met locals that decided to have Thanksgiving dinner at the campsite. Well, we were amazed at
the quantity of the food that the people have. They were generous and offer us to eat with them for Thanksgiving lunch and dinner.
Pictures will follow....

Camping outside los Angeles

Food, Family, and fun

Having all the gears for camping make it easy to camp anywhere....IMG_5650.jpg
We been through 4 camping trips so far....Malibu Creek state park, Leo Carillo, and in Mexico.
We are planning another trip to Joshua tree during Thanks giving holiday.
My children love camping b/c they can climb the trees, run, bike, and look for ants or insects. It is great chance to meet other families with children.
These pictures are courtesy from KIM MIN....Thanks Kim for camping with us and taking these great pictures.IMG_5666.jpgIMG_5691.jpg

the metro-system. We met our french friend Anne-Laure that is living in New Jeresy. Together we explored the whole city. We walked everywhere
Central park, the Natural history Museum, Time Squares....Anyway we met Gazala from our home-town...she owns Restaurant in New York. We had dinner with my best friend Laura at her beautiful apt. in New York. After 2 days, We went to Boston for 2 days that was a great experience in itself....we met my friend Julie and explored the city. We stayed at Boston international Hostel....It is great place...the staff helped us and gave us dinner for free.....
I enjoyed being in Boston and New York maybe b/c of meeting our friends.......

Traveling to HAWAII Feb 2007

HAWAII was OK but not a big adventure

In Feb 2007 we took a cruise through my class at college to HAWAII.
The cruise included going to most of the Islands while I was taking class about History of Hawaii.
One thing we learned through this trip Not to board any cruise again in our lives.
The cruise was catering to lazy old population who just eat, eat, eat,,,,and sleep....not our style.
MAUI, Kiwii, Was beautiful islands with great scenery but still the cruise was a huge disaster.
If you are young and love to travel to ruin your travel with cruise that feeds you 24 hours a day.
